Half Dome, Sunset Reflection

A clearing storm, a dramatic sunset, the grandeur of Yosemite, and a little luck came together for several moments on a May evening when this photograph was made. Half Dome is shown reflecting from a pool in a grassy meadow in Yosemite Valley. Half Dome, with the largest vertical rock face on earth, rises nearly a mile above the valley floor.
