Temples of the Sun and Moon, Cathedral Valley

This photograph was made as the first light of the day strikes the Temple of the Sun (background) and the Temple of the Moon (foreground) in Capitol Reef National Park's Cathedral Valley. The difficult pre-dawn trip was made worthwhile by a brief but brilliant sunrise as a cold front moved in. The sky clouded over completely a short time after this photograph was taken.
