Spring Ice on Long Lake, Beartooth Range, Wyoming
In the Beartooth Mountains one can find over 300 pristine lakes, some waterfalls
in excess of 300 feet (91 m), and about 25 small glaciers. Winters are severe
with heavy snow and incessant winds. Spring comes late here, as evidenced by
this photograph captured in the middle of June.
