High Desert Textures

Early morning light gives definition to complex textures of the high desert on the Colorado Plateau. Although it looks rugged and foreboding the ecosystems here are actually quite fragile. Inappropriate land use is a major threat to this and many other areas under the jurisdiction of America's Bureau of Land Management (BLM).
